The incumbent should have 12-15 years experience with reputed companies in the following skill / technology areas. In addition to managing a team, the person should have expert level skill and knowledge in handling the technology areas (hands-on).
Job Description and Skill Requirements:
Manage Systems Administration (Unix and Windows NT), Remote Data Centre Operations, Network Operations, HelpDesk Operations and Telecom for the entire Hyderabad office.
To handle online Production monitoring for entire United Online server plant. Supervise and mentor a team of 35-45 people. Handling budgets, vendors, purchasing, implementation, customization, and maintenance. The candidate should be very strong (expert level) in the above technology areas. The job is very challenging and the position is a key position in the organisation.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
1.12-15 years of rich industry experience. Experience with a wide variety of networks and heterogeneous systems.
2.Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering (CSE/ECE/EEE) from a reputed university (No Diploma Holders in Engineering please).
3.Strong technical troubleshooting background in a LAN/WAN mixed network environment
4.Strong System Administration skills in Unix, Linux, Windows NT environment.
5.Understanding of a wide range of networks and telecom and datacom systems
6.Understanding of UNIX, especially Sun Solaris
7.Experience with HP Openview, SNMP or similar products
8.Strong experience with Cisco routers and basic Troubleshooting
9.Adequate experience in DB production operations
10.Management of a systems and network management system in an Internet environment is a plus
11.Personal characteristics/abilities include: well organized; good communication, writing and presentation skills; works with minimum supervision; team player.
12.Demonstrated ability of leading a team and motivating them to higher levels of performance.
